Cut off is very crucial as it is the only measure to shortlist or reject candidates based on the performance. So Indian Air Force carefully decides a cut off marks where a talented and average candidate gets in for SSB interview. As IAF believes that a person may be weak in few areas but may have excellent inner qualities similar to Officers Like Qualities. So to rule out the possibility of missing a promising candidate who meets minimum level of intelligence that is required to be an officer, IAF sets a cut off.
